It's okay. At best, it's a pretty generic Pokemon experience with a somewhat strange artstyle. The new stuff, like the underground, is interesting at first, but quickly ends up feeling like a gimmick after bothering with it more than a few times.

I don't really see a reason to play this one over any other Pokemon game honestly, and that includes the original Pearl. The new stuff doesn't add enough to justify itself. On top of that, Pearl's flaws become way more glaringly apparent here.

All in all, this feels mostly pointless. I'm pretty sure this just existed as a buffer in case people weren't fans on the new direction Legends took. But since that took off and everyone loved it, not sure what's left for this one. I had some fun with it, but I can't say I really enjoyed my time with it overall. I got to the elite four and just didn't want to bother with it anymore.
