Despite being much less consistent than its predecessor, AI: The Somnium Files -Nirvana Initiative still manages to be an entertaining and worthwhile visual novel, with some key gameplay improvements and some great character additions (Ryuki and Tama in particular). It's just a shame the plot doesn't manage to stick the landing and ended up being an underwritten mess. But really, what do you expect from an Uchikoshi game at this point?
