Ever wanted to have the Touhou aesthetics and gameplay without the story, music or the actual name? Then this is your game!
Really, it could have been a 4.5 but the music is not that memorable, and the english story translation is a meme (I think they actually aknowledge that ingame, what is that cat speech? lol).
As for the gameplay itself, it's quite great. There are some balance issues though, mostly based on the rank system adding RNG to almost every spell, the final boss being a huge step-up even for a final boss, and Angelica being very strong for stages.
There also is some visual clutter that can be decreased with an option on settings but never removed. I'm talking about bullets feeling like they don't have solid borders. Not that big of a deal until you have to micrododge.
Challenge mode is your spell-card perfection mode, with last words as well! Quite the pain but it was nice to complete.
