Its a character from newspaper comics in Argentina, it became super famous in the mid 2000s and got movies, cartoons and consequently this game. Then it was found out that the creator of the comic "Nik" stealed a lot of jokes from another comicbooks in Argentina like "Mafalda" among others, so he got cancelled.
Its a very cool story, i recommend you check out Mafalda its really good.
