Beware if you have gambling issues.

Remember Valve's failed Artifact game? Someone thought it was a good idea, because here it is again in fast-paced matches with lots of chance. I look forward to seeing future games that improve on Marvel Snap.

The game itself is pretty good, and initially appears to be very generous to free players. Your progress starts off quick, but depends on your tolerance of dailies, season passes and grinding.

No campaign or anything else. Just multiplayer, bots, and a ton of cards to collect & play with. Most of your matches may be against bots pretending to be real players. That's not a bad thing though. The cosmic cube system is designed for them. They're usually fun to play against. It's amusing to see bots break sometimes, like when "Murderworld" is in play.

I loved Marvel comics as a kid. It made me happy to see this game has a large assortment of lesser-known characters that aren't in the movies.

It's crazy how the pace of progression just falls off a cliff once you get into Series 3, then it's all grinding and waiting for these deck-definers
