The N. Sane Trilogy made the decision to keep the controls as close to the originals as possible. While I think those still feel okay, they are not as good as something you'd get from a modern game.

CTR Nitro Fueled seemed to stick pretty similar to the original CTR as well. The benefit here is CTR still feels great to play. This time, though, we've got more characters added to the roster (even ones from Crash games I didn't like, but I'd be an ass to complain about them being added), and thankfully none are locked to a specific stat type, which can be selected on its own. New tracks have made their way in too, as well as online multiplayer.

If you're into arcadey racing games, obviously as well specifically kart racers, this is the definitive title.
