The Digimon designs are all fantastic. The evolution/devolution mechanic was neat. Combat was solid. Feels like a brighter Shin Megami Tensei, and I think there’s a lot of merit to that. Unfortunately the story is insultingly bland and you spend 90% of the game in a generic grid with “hacker” aesthetic. Just miserable environments.
