Outstanding job by Monolith Soft!

Ost really stands out for the world. I wasn't a big fan of the chain attack at first but it grew on me. Combat is chaotically epic since you can now have up to 7 party members at fight at once (6 main characters and 1 hero) and you have an ability called interlink that let's you fuse with your partner into a being called Ouroboros that deals significant amounts of damage. Like the other Xenoblade games, this one is also an exploration playground and I love it a lot. A big improvement is navigation. In XC2 I got lost constantly, and you'll get lost in this game as well but it doesn't happen as often. You also have the option to have a path guide you to your next objective, I never did use it since I didn't even know it was a feature until I was like 70 hours in. There are so many gorgeous locations and stunning views, and the graphics are looking better than ever. Side quests are just okay, nothing special but the Hero quests are very special. They are optional to do but I highly recommend doing them since you unlock Heroes who can help fight in your party and some Heroes give you an ability to help you explore the world more. Not only that but you also unlock their class and you can use those classes on your main characters. A feature I very much enjoyed using.

The stories for the Hero quests are well worth it too. Monolith Soft did an excellent job on the story and the characters. Grew a special attachment to the main characters and the many more characters you'll meet in the game. The story is beautiful with many sad moments and insane twists that kept me hooked. However, I felt like most of the antagonists were very generic. I absolutely loved the ending, it touched my heart.

I can say for sure XC3 is my favorite Xenoblade game and possibly my favorite switch game. In my opinion, XC3 has the best story but the world isn't as beautiful or breath-taking as XCDE or XC2. Main reason I love it more is because XC3 fixes A LOT of the stressful problems I had with XCDE and XC2. I want to take a moment to really appreciate Monolith Soft for delivering such an incredible video game the same year they announced it. They gave me many hours of fun and didn't have to wait long to experience it.
