Excellent remake of one of my favorite games of all time! I was going into this remake not knowing what to expect - if it would exceed my expectations or if it would disappoint me.
I can confidently say that this new version of Dead Space left me feeling amazed by the work and care that was put in and the fluidity of the gameplay, experience, combat and overall presentation.
The game played just like how I remember it did back on the Xbox 360 original version. This time around, however, I felt the controls were more responsive, the environments fleshed out and fully realized and the combat more intense and gripping.
The shading, draw distance, lighting/ray tracing and rendering all were fantastic, brining this classic into the modern day with a fresh coat of paint and a reworked engine. Having a classic game that still plays well tuned up like this is something marvelous and special, and to experience it in this way is truly a magical experience.
If there are plans for a Dead Space 2 remake, I am all aboard and eagerly awaiting.
