Many thoughts, many thoughts. Probably my second favorite From Software game behind Bloodborne, and I'm really not sure how big that margin is. One enormous bulge of a game, with quite a bit of padding, but dear god! does it deliver IN SPADES 95 percent of the time. It's more than the sum of its parts, almost feels like the Elden Ring itself is a metatextual symbol to the game it sprouts from. A true artistic statement from Miyazaki and his team, that gleams just a tad shinier with the very obvious influence of George RR Martin, whose fingers are all over the lore. Oh, I just love it. I would hug the shit out of its lines of code if it was possible.
