Project X Zone 2 is a sequel that improves on the original in many ways. Firstly, the chapters are shorter than in Project X Zone, which is good, because in my opinion, the chapters in Project X Zone were too long, and with that I mean the battles and amount of enemies. Project X Zone 2 feels way better in that aspect.
Like in Project X Zone, the crossover aspect of the game is still what makes it so special, the character interactions and humour are great. It's just so nice seeing your favourite characters from all these franchises interact with each other. KOS-MOS was still one of the main reasons why I played this game, and she and Fiora from Xenoblade were a nice pair unite, tho I personally prefer KOS-MOS and T-elos from Project X Zone. (KOS-MOS and Shion still would've been better than those two, but I can live with that)
Xiaomu and Reiji were great protagonists, at this point I haven't played Namco X Capcom, from which they are the original protagonists, but I already enjoyed them in Project X Zone. With this game I really learned to love them, especially the ending of the game was really nice, and honestly made me a bit emotional, which I didn't expect at all.
With that, I think this is a great crossover game, just like Project X Zone, but I think this game is definitely an improvement over Project X Zone. After playing this game, my wish for another crossover game made by Monolithsoft, just became even stronger. Hope we'll someday see Project X Zone 3.
