Inscryption throws surprise after surprise at the player, but ultimately shows its hand a little too early. The game has trouble keeping up with the player's expectations. The game ends before it can manage to re-achieve the brilliance of the first act. Meaning the much weaker second and third acts leave the lasting impression.
Overall, Inscryption is an enjoyable experience that doesn't quite manage to bring all of its ideas together by the end.
