Played on Emulator.
2nd favourite Metroid. I absolutely love the 'horror' elements. I was always on edge thanks to the slowly drawn out tension.
The artstyle and graphics are really nice as well. Music is solid. Movement greatly improved from Super. I really enjoyed the story and I didn't mind the compromise of linearity needed for the story.
I didn't like the bosses very much though. Attacks aren't well telegraphed and they can feel artificially difficult at times. There were a couple of segments that weren't very clear as well.
Overall it's a solid Metroid entry that holds up pretty well. I hope Dread goes all in on the tension.
