I'm not big into shmups, but Touhou

i know basically jack shit about shmups as a genre. outside of this the only one ive played for any chunk of time was Air Zonk, the most scrimblo of shmups to ever exist. however, my blindness to this genre ends today as i take my first steps in embarking on an epic gamer quest to conquer that which ive ignored for so long.

its fun! very fun. i like it a lot. me 100%ing binding of isaac probably gave me a bit of a leg up on not being absolute shit at this but even then gave me a solid kick in the dick in terms of difficulty. always felt managable, 99% of the time i died i felt more dumb than anything else for not using my bomb in time or flying too close to something. as an incredibly simple two button and a stick no frills game it satiated my urge to get into this kind of shit.

ost bangs. no two ways about it. goes insane. midi superiority wins again. also i like the funny ugly anime girls. i will now dedicate my life to the one who eats spaghetti in that one gif.
