Okay. This is one of my first video games. This is my first fighting game. This game, got me into the genre and made me into a weeb. So, I do have massive respect and admiration for this game.
But let's not kid ourselves, this game has aged POORLY. The old MKs always had basic combat, everyone has the same normals just with different special moves. It functions fine but it's super clunky. For sure, the gameplay is the worst part of the game. BUT, the atmosphere and presentation is pretty damn good and of course the inclusion of fatalities are awesome, admit it. You love em' too. The music is pretty kickin, especially on the Genesis/Mega Drive version! The version I was introduced Mortal Kombat on. SO it's a cool game, shallow gameplay. I still love it, but I gotta be honest on this one.
