What's more American that taking something the British have done (animal mascot platforming) and adding guns to it?

This was my first RATCHET AND CLANK aka "Banjo-Kashootie," and I gotta say...this was pretty bland. Surface level charm and an engaging collectable system that just gets spread wayyyyy too thin. Not enough variety between the progressing levels. If the story had more to it than a grade-school retelling of a basic heroes journey narrative, it might be redeemable. But it's just so basic that I can't see myself ever diving back in.

It's a short playthrough tho, that's a plus.
