Probably Ratalaika's best one of these simplistic little metroidvanias with trophies you complete after only like 20% of the game, though that doesn't say much. This one almost overstays its welcome by being slightly too long at about 3 or so hours, and the cracks start to show, but before that, it's a pretty pleasant but simplistic SOTN copycat that strips out all of that game's more advanced mechanics. That's all it is, wrapped in a very weak script which feels like it was written by Borat, and the level and boss design varies from pathetic to painfully boring and the only reason the final fight is hard at all is because the incessant jumping will give you RSI and the fireballs only hit you because your hitbox is gigantic and feels like it's twice the size of the character. Also they had to include medusa heads and waiting for boring platforms, elevators and swinging axes, all of the most fun game designs in history, because of course they did. I guess this means that the game actually is kind of bad, but I can always enjoy a few hours of metroidvania action before even bad ones become to irritating to carry on and that's when this game ends.

At least the game is priced correctly. And I did like how you unlock the air dash by completing a little obstacle course that requires the other skills. Always love it when games expect you to actually use a skill in order to level it up somehow. That was cool. Everything else was kind of wack.
