Perfectly acceptable bit of bite-sized gaming that lasts an evening or two before it gets old. The game itself is pretty typical survival fare where you harvest some stuff, build some stuff and craft some stuff with the ultimate goal of escaping on a boat. That's really about it. There are only a handful of houses and things to craft and your equipment stops at bronze, and you likely can and will beat survival mode on normal difficulty on your first attempt and over the course of one evening. There's maybe a dozen or so challenge levels too, which seem nicely designed, but one run of survival seems about enough for this game. The UI isn't very convenient, especially not on PS4, and digging in and out of cumbersome menus becomes tiresome. After completing survival and a few challenge missions, I just feel done with this game, though I wish there was just a bit more depth and a more convenient user experience since I would have gladly completed everything had it just been a little less rough around more or less all of the edges.
