A couple gestures towards entertaining mechanics like disguise-based stealth and some occasionally good jokes doesn't quite save this game from sinking beneath its own weight. As a pastiche of sci-fi in general it fails to find its focus, and its attempts at handling its capitalist critique just never come together, often feeling painfully both-sides-y or naive in a blinkered way. The reliance upon randomly generated loot also feels strange, and contributes towards making the world feel like an unreal roller coaster.
