Way better than Bayonetta 1 in every aspect. The series is known for its over-the-top battles but Bayonetta 2 amps it up another level in terms of creativity.
The combat, enemy designs, and level designs are great. One of my few gripes is that some enemies are reused, and a lot of the attack patterns can get slightly repetitive.
The story did a good job of not trying to overshadow the gameplay by not overstaying it's welcome. I feel that Bayo1 had like 70% combat, 20% story while Bayo2 is 80% combat, 20% story, which I appreciated a lot.
Overall, I love this game and it has made me more excited for Bayonetta 3.
