What a wee treat this was. Nicely uses the original game as a base then gives it a modern spruce up. Gunplay is fast and vicious, cars all handle differently, story is good wholesome fun.
I loved the open world, and loved it even more that it's basically just a set for the plot. You can drive around if you please but there's no real need to do so. Turns out you don't need to pepper everything with collectibles to make a nice space.
All in all, this made me want to play Mafia 2 again. I kind of wish there were more games set in this time period. There's something nice about no phones or GPS or any of that stuff when you're playing a crime game.
