When i first started playing pyre i was not expecting to be this good, sure the music is magnificent and the visuals are stunning, but that's what you expect from a Super Giant game, but to my good surprise the gameplay was also amazing.

Pyre unites two things i like a lot in video games and are are rare to see together, an arcade style sports gameplay and narrative, and oh boy were they good. The gameplay fells so great to play, i would play this new sport without the narrative, it's just great.

Of course, pyre biggest point is it's characters and narrative, heck even the narrator has an character arch, you learn a lot about them, and care a lot, have to make though decisions throughout the game and that only shows how well things are implemented here.

I've had a blast playing pyre, supergiant has done what supergiant does, and don't let others foll you, pyre's gameplay is great!
