So conflicted about this. Act 1 only being a fraction of the game annoyed me, but the narrative was so much fun to discover and get involved in. I basically shelved this game for a while during Act 2 but decided to finish it for the sake of completionism, and I'm kinda glad I did.

Part of me wishes we got a more straightforward game instead of a meta-breaking one that kept changing things up, but after all is said and done I think I can walk away from this with the narrative being worth the price of admission. It's a game with high peaks and low valleys.

I really liked act 1 in the cabin and when it changed to a completly different game I was kinda sad and annoyed that I abandoned it.

same, I was so bummed. I absolutely loved the aesthetic loop of the first act and seeing it get thrown out essentially killed my motivation for a while. check out Kaycee's mod though, it's basically the first act as its own roguelike
