Seeing as I'm gonna watch Raiders of the Lost Ark in theaters tomorrow, I decided to check out any Indy games on this free Saturday afternoon, I've seen this game held in very high regard as one of, if not the best, Indiana Jones games, so I decided to try it out.

I found Immaculate vibes, a somewhat interesting story, pretty cool level design, all that good stuff. Alas, the game has aged so terribly I just don't wanna play through it, especially with how long it is. I mean seriously this is an absurdly long game for its genre.

The controls and the camera are just horrendous. You can definitely get around them, but it's just not really fun. Everything feels very slow and tedious, which is a shame. In this era of early 3D games where no one knew what to do (except Nintendo), These Tomb Raider-esque games aged the worst, as is evident here.

The combat is also pretty awful, but the main draw of the game are the puzzles, which are actually quite good, but too much of the game is combat and platforming, both of which are terrible. Platforming in this game is just the worst because of the gruelingly slow/clunky movement and the awful camera. It's also very inconsistent on what can and cannot be climbed, jumped, etc. Just no good man.

I bet if this game got a modern remake it'd be fantastic, but this is just too damn dated to have fun with.
