Absolutely fantastic. Such a step up from it’s predecessor. While the former felt bloated and more than a little repetitive, Lost Judgement refines and improves the formula in every aspect.

Combat is arguably the best the series has seen, even rivalling Yakuza 0 in terms of how satisfying it is. Snake style is so much fun.

The plot and side content is really well paced throughout, keeping things fresh even 60 hours in. Very easy Amon fight this time round too.

There was a good selection of mini games/ arcade stuff although I would love to see some more varied stuff included. I love the selection of fighting games but Sega is sitting on a goldmine of racing games that are prime for the series. Imagine Daytona USA 2 or Outrun 2006 were playable, it would be killer.

That’s not to say it’s flawless though. While the stealth sections were good in concept, the execution was so janky and frustrating that I dreaded them coming up. Some of the mechanic were under utilised, with not as much detective style missions in this one. The drone races were an afterthought and the skateboarding wasn’t quite up to scratch too.

It’s not often that a game still has me wanting more after 100 percenting it, but Lost Judgement manages it.

Look you can cut about on a hoverboard dressed as a Dracula. What more do you want?
