played a whole run with friends using calamity, thorium, gensokyo, and magic storage mods.
calamity: stupid edgy shit thats only tolerable because the stupid OP weapons are fun as hell. the devs obviously hate the base game and its aesthetic, but sucks to be them. every time they made a boss talk it was so corny and not in the early 2000s edge soul way, devs are stuck in middle school. fuck worm bosses.
thorium: actually fun, bard and healer are good concepts, but kinda flop in execution, especially when mixed with calamity weapons. bosses were interesting, and new npcs/quests were actually cool.
gensokyo: bosses did no damage and i could clap them solo. lunar clock was so op but buggy (crashed my friends game a lot)
magic storage: absolute necessity, playing a modded pt without it sounds abhorrent.

overall, i still think i like 1.3 terraria more than 1.4, but after growing up from like freshman year i recognize how stupid lame these mods are, and ive just kinda grown out of the game.
tmodloader 64 bit is a buggy PoS and made the game a lot more annoying than it needed to be.
