This review contains spoilers

i played this before i listened to ANY review, for two reasons: am playing through infinite wealth, AND i dont want my opinions of this game to be tainted.

i kinda liked this game, its not bad, its above average, hence the 3/5 instead of 2.5/5, but man does it flop in so many ways

the atmosphere and music is great, parts of the story and dialogue is kind of on the nose, with the lot of it being too... cheesy? almost like how it feels to have mental health problems explained to you by someone who does not go through mental health problems, its kinda bizarre

the chase sequences were definitely scary, but man, the trial-and-error type where you keep dying till you find that ONE path that actually gets you to the next part of the game is not really fun once the scare factor is gone and you realize that the monster thats chasing you gives you SO much time to escape

the plot twists are okay, but with silent hill, subtly wins, and this game was anything BUT, you have to remember that the essence of silent hill is to be vague enough that you build your own narrative and theories, that doesnt seem to be the case with this game at all

i like it, its a fun short game, and since its free, you can't really be upset with it, however if it were a longer, paid experience, i think my rating for it would plummet

im hoping that konami sees this through and actually make both 2 Remake and f to be subtle, with creepy atmospheres and decent combat and chase sequences

tl;dr - its okay, fails at more than it succeeds, narrative and chase arent the best, but its short, easy to digest, creepy and free to play!
