Due to playing it across 3 months and a breakup, the narrative really was lost on me and I did not remember the people. However, the vibe is impecabble. The actual gameplay is basically papers please, but it is like a riddle simulator and it continuously makes you feel smart and it is fun rooting around the book, finding the right plant while hearing the sneaky gossip. It's just really a good vibe that's a simple game that succeeds in what it aims to do.
