Famicom Grand Prix: F-1 Race is not a good game. It's extremely generic for what it is and to be frank, I think you should play the sequel instead unless you want a piece of Nintendo history.

It's a top-down racer which was a common trope of the 80s for 8-bit system hardware, but those haven't exactly aged the best now-a-days. This game hardly brought anything new to the table anyways, besides Mario. Speaking of which for a game featuring Mario, there is hardly any Mario to be seen not even the world has objects with eyes on them as seen in Mario games.

This game honestly feels more easy to make filler while they were working on it's technically impressive sequel which came out only a mere 8 months later in Japan.

Overall, this game is overly generic, doesn't bring anything new to this table, and you're better off playing the sequel.
