Out of all of the Game & Watch games I've played, this one is my favourite so far I've ever played. Donkey Kong (G&W) is it's own take on the classic Donkey Kong Arcade Kong and it does what it is trying to do pretty well especially for the era.

In this version of Donkey Kong, there are quite a few liberties. There's only 1 stage, there are bars that try to stop you from getting up, and instead of reaching the top normally you have to use a crane to get up that you must flick beforehand. The game does as well feature the classic thrown barrels featured in the original.

Game A and Game B are essentially the same thing, but Game B starts off harder and the game overall feels faster. Game A is perfect for on the go more relaxed gaming, while it can last for a while (like I did when I was younger when a score of over 2,000) most of the time it won't that long. Game B is perfect if you want something to make your brain to think a bit more, but also wanting something relaxing. Both A and B do ramp a lot the more you play the game and you do eventually start getting extra lives as well.

The only issue I have with this game is it feels too easy to miss the crane to get to the top to save Pauline as you can completely miss time or walk up (which is what I have the most trouble with). Although, this is an issue with me and not the game itself and I can't it hold it accountable for that.

Overall, this is one of the best game and watches out there and if you had to play any game and watch game in existence, this would be the one I would tell people to play.
