Flight Simulator is an awe inspiring technical feat that should absolutely be experienced. It is incredible see anywhere in the world from this perspective and flying into a thunderstorm that is currently happening in the real world is a sight to behold. Just don’t fly too close to the ground or the illusion breaks, often in sort of hilarious ways. Learning to fly is also rewarding, especially when everything finally goes right. Unfortunately, playing with a controller is incredibly finicky and clearly not the ideal or intended way to play, leaving plenty of moments in which perfect flights are disrupted by controls instead of player decisions.

Finally, it is worth noting that this is unabashedly a simulation with almost no structure outside of tutorials to speak of. Perhaps the smallest amount of structure, like a flight checklist over cool places, would help retain a less simulation focused crowd, but that seems like an unlikely addition at this point.
