If you ask me, Dead Space is still one of the best survival horrors ever made, and better yet, it holds up pretty well from a technical point of view even after all these years. So, I'm not entirely sure if we really needed this remaster (no, I definitely wouldn't call this a remake), but nevertheless, it's here - and, I must admit, the developers went all in and didn't do a sloppy job at all.

The graphics are amazingly beautiful, the various sound effects are scary as hell, and even the gameplay was changed here and there (Isaac can finally talk!), just enough to make the whole experience worthwhile for those who know and love the original game. I had no choice but to give this one five stars due to the nostalgia factor, but I certainly hope that the next installment in the franchise will be completely new.
