While it definitely has its flaws, I think Pokemon Scarlet/Violet is a step in the right direction for the series. It is a buggy mess and released way too soon, but I still think it's very fun. I found the open world very enjoyable to explore despite being a bit basic and I loved being able to play co-op. Furthermore, the story is, in my opinion, the second-best in the series, beaten only by the story of Black/White. The entire ending was absolutely amazing. I only wish that Gamefreak was given more time to develop these games because there are those moments where you can clearly see how creative and talented the devs are. They're just being held back by the countless restrictions and schedules the Pokemon franchise has. But, disregarding everything that could be and simply looking at this game for what it is, I do believe it's good. Not great, but I love it despite its flaws.
