Comparing this to Shovel of Hope, it does some things better and others worse. I loved controlling Plague and personally, I prefer his controls to Shovel Knight's. I loved being able to just fly through levels when I learned how to best utilize plague's skills correctly. Aside the character controls, the story was really cute here and I love Mona and Plague they are CUTE!!! The things I believe this game did worse than Shovel of Hope mostly has to do with the stages not being designed for Plague. Propeller Knight's stage and Tower of Fate: Ascent in particular were annoying as hell here, mostly because of the propeller enemies. Aside that, I thoroughly enjoyed this, and I think it's just a bit lower of a level than Shovel of Hope.
