When I bought this game mostly because of the hype surrounding the HBO series, I realized I'm part of the problem. I bought a game that I've already played and I already own a great version that's playable on PS5. But IMO The Last of Us is such a great experience that it's worth it, and it was amazing to play this alonside watchcing each episode in the series, a wonderful experience. I really like Uncharted, but Naughty Dog really stepped up its gameplay level with TLOU. I feel like here is where they really found the balance between stealth and good shooting/melee combat. Nobody does characters like Naughty Dog huh? I love the iconic duo Joel and Ellie. The original game is already beautiful and this remaster knocks it out of the park with its visuals, the game is stunning and runs very well in any mode you choose, be it 60fps performance or 30fps quality. I really like the new DualSense features, the pressure triggers for firing guns, rumble for punches and just the overall feeling of the resistance of walking through water is astonishing. All in all, I really like this game and I wish I had time to complete a NG+ playthrough and go for the Platinum trophy. Maybe someday. I'll continue to be part of the unecessary remasters problem by buying The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
