So I have finally gotten around to playing one of the most hated games in the franchise and I low-key loved it?

RE6 definetly has its issues. The story can be a bit meh at times but the gameplay and tone is the saving grace. The gameplay is super fun on controller and a big part of why I enjoyed this game so much. I tried it on m&k and hated the bindings but on controller it is great. I also thought this game did a great job at implementing horror. There were so many times this game either had an eery atmosphere or was just straight up creepy. Unlike RE5, I really enjoyed how over the top this was. It felt more like RE4 and just worked really well.

Leon's Campaign: Leon being my favourite RE character should have meant that I loved this. Unfortunately I actually think his campaign is one of the weaker parts of the game. The bosses aren't fun, the story isn't great and I didn't really care for Helena. Oh and this is Leon's last appearence timeline wise and his last line was 'Women'?

Chris' Campaign: By far my favourite story of the game. This campaign has a very strong narrative and actully does a great job at making you feel like a solider rather than a regular person.

Jake's Campaign: This one suprised me quite a bit. I think again, this one had a very strong narrative and was carried by good characters. Seeing Jake and Sherry's relationship develop throughout the game was both interesting and satisfying.

Ada's Campaign: This one was probably my least favourite. It has its moments but I never really felt invested with the story. That said, the part when the faces are coming out of the wall was terrifying.

Overall, this game has more than its fair share of issues but is it overhated? Most definetely! It is some dumb fun with a bettter than narrative than you'd expect!
