This feels like easily the most no-nonsense version of Fire Emblem as we know it today. There's no skills. The weapon triangle is there. All the basic classes we all know and love are there. Hell, there's no hub. It feels like Fire Emblem at its most basic, in a good way of course. It's good, nothing mindblowing, but good.

It is also why it is the worst fire emblem game. lately fire emblem feels like it has a great sense of identity three houses and engage in particular characters always feel unique and it is all about getting the best skills that make every character no matter what insanely interesting. This game instead of having fun with the game with busted classes or nuanced skills that you mold, you get a very limited resources and have to win with the resources given to you, it makes this game feel more dated. Having limited promotions and no reclassing makes characters have really boring unit identity. Instead of just getting an army of wyvern riders you have to wait until chapter 22 hector mode to get Heath. You might think having no hub makes taking care of the economy in fe7 is very important but it doesn't really pay off if you do. This game is also very iron man friendly since it is made for babies. overall i think this game has the worst balance it is too easy and not just right. I think when people get tired of thinking they will appreciate titles like fe7 for the reason that it is brainless.
