Almost everything I love about WarioWare is on display here - the eclectic soundtrack, the mishmash of visual styles, the wacky characters and scenarios. The presentation does take a small step down from WW Gold, but there's more than enough charm here to make up for it.

The area that Get It Together falters in for me is the main gameplay gimmick. WarioWare is no stranger to gimmicks. In fact it's usually on the forefront of them, from the gyroscope in Twisted to the motion controls of Smooth Moves, the series is always pushing new ideas to mix up the microgames. The newest gimmick gives you the ability to control the series' colorful cast of characters in the microgames.

On the surface I quite liked this idea, after all the characters are a huge part of why I love the series so much. Unfortunately, in practice this gimmick is a bit of a mixed bag. At least once per level I find myself unable to complete a microgame, because it seems like it wasn't designed with a particular character in mind. I'm sure that every microgame is doable with every character, but some of them just seem so poorly thought out. The biggest strength of the microgame format has always been how easy it is to intuit the objective just based on a simple hint. However, when you also have to factor in each character's abilities I think there's too much you need to intuit in such a short span of time.

Theres still a lot to like about this game as a long time fan of the series, but there's enough annoyance that I can't see myself grinding out all the extra content like I did in Gold.
