@FranKle Nah it's not really, in this case the game "ends" and then gives you a post-credits chapter which then leads you to the true ending and true final boss. It also gives you the ability to play a new set of levels.... but so:
The way this game is structured is that you play through most of the levels more than once because you can change the season for each area, thus you get 4 variations of the same level. You don't have all seasons unlocked at the start of the game, you usually unlock the 2nd season for each continent after you finish each chapter. It's just that the third season unlocks in this "epilogue" chapter and for all 4 continents at once, which means you have 4x the amount of extra levels to play through and it just feels a bit bloated to me. Also kinda messes with the otherwise impeccable pacing of the story.
Granted, none of these levels are "required", but there is still like a 10 level gap you'll have to bridge before the final boss. Also I'm a bit of a completionist so...
I believe the fourth season is exclusive to New Game+ btw, haven't done that yet
