My first love of the Wario Land series. Probably my second favorite these days - WL3 feels better paced and more deliberate in its design - but this is still great. Transformations are immediately compelling gimmicks and great additions to Wario's slower, more methodical gameplay approach, as is eschewing a health system. The branching storyline is a great structure; I can't imagine the difficulty of trying to figure out the first branch on your own, but it's a great joke once you're in on it. Flagman DD and the weirdly spitefully-designed Really Final Chapter are great rewards for 100% completion. My easy recommendation for a jump-in point to the series.
