One of the most disposable Sonic titles? For years I'd wondered what the hell it was all about, since my only context for it was "Race to Win" from the "True Blue" CD - and that was for the sequel. Turns out it's... just a series of races. Decent enough as a diversion, I guess, but over and done with pretty quickly. This would've been fine if it were something like a Kirby expanded subgame, but to my knowledge, this was a pretty substantial launch for Sonic, hot off the heels of '06 two days prior. I guess multiplayer gives it some longevity? There's some novelty to Silver and Eggman Nega's inclusions here? I'm always a sucker for collectable cards acknowledging series history in games like this? ...it's inoffensive?
