This review contains spoilers
Been replaying this on PC with the turbo/LDK mods and wanna gush.
Anyways DMC5 is definitively my favorite on the series and so much of it clicks for me. Neros devil arms are one of the smartest mechanical additions to the series diversifying him so much that anything can work wonders (his expanded DT form is phenomenal as well). V while feeling a bit incomplete imo is still a fun diversion that manages to get just enough levels where he doesn't feel padded (though I'm still not the biggest fan of Nidhogg). Dante is of course the star of the show with easily my favorite feeling gameplay from his side, with the style switching from 4 feeling extremely expanded upon that flows so well with his phenomenal devil arms/weapons (SDT is also busted as fuck). Vergils addition also sweetens the pot extraordinarily and using classic weapons in the new engine feels absolutely phenomenal (Beowulf my beloved).
Nothing really much else to say after that besides my GLOWING recommendation of DMC5. It's easily the best game in the series and Capcoms magnum opus of design. Absolutely can't wait to see what Itsuno and crew do in the future.
