I have over 80 hours on this and yet I don't really feel like I've played it. Sometimes in an intense rage I will load the game up and build a house, make some sims, and then turn it off and do it again a few months later. This is a cute game but it doesn't really have much substance to it, there are a lot of things to see but little depth.

All the depth used to exist, back in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. Then EA realized they've got a market that's too willing to give the benefit of the doubt to overpriced, under-delivering expansions. In-depth neighborhoods with premade backstories and room to expand with less restrictions? Gone. A more interconnected, persistent open world for all the hood/sub-hood Sims to inhabit and interact with? Nope, apparently it's too hard (or costs too much time in dev salaries) to do that right. What a shitshow this series has become.
