Devolver Digital has been getting attention for being a very socially aware publisher and having inventive panels at the annual E3 for some time now. They love to subvert expectations and have been presenting some really unique stuff in their marketing. With E3 pretty much falling flat this year I'm genuinely impressed how well they managed to work around that and use it in their favor by releasing this interactive presentation instead.

Devolverland Expo is a short first-person stealth game where you infiltrate the shut-down convention center to find out about the upcoming games. It looks very polished and even though the game announcements are the core of this whole thing the gameplay is still pretty engaging.
You'll find yourself sneaking around robots and dodging lasers as you explore one big game booth after another and subsequently get to watch video versions of what would have been the announcements on stage would E3 have happened.
It worked really well and transferred the announcements pretty seamlessly into this short videogame.

None of the announced games really look that amazing to me. I'm excited for Carrion, but I already knew about that game beforehand. I'm mildly interested in Disc Room which was one of the announcements that were somewhat hidden out of sight. But Fall Guys was probably the only one I'm actually looking forward to without having already had it on my radar.

As far as the presentation goes though I'm honestly impressed at Devolver Digital's ingenuity. This was a fun little game in itself and a very engaging way at getting a sneak peek at upcoming games.
