I liked the story and the general vibes/atmosphere a lot but man the gameplay got pretty boring and repetitive as it went on. The combat was serviceable but there's too much of it for how shallow it is. And also the controls just felt clunky as hell. But the storytelling and vibes make up for it a good amount. Not really affecting my score since it's separate but man the DLC for this game blows. It doubles down on the combat which is the worst aspect of the game and just ramps up the difficulty for no reason and barely develops the story. Overall I don't regret my time, and if Alan Wake II improves on the combat and general feel of the game it could be a banger.
