Got a comment from @MagneticBurn on my Ikari Warriors review that made me check out this game, and wow, this is ROUGH.
So, starting off, I dig the mechanics. If you've played Puyo Puyo, the skills are pretty transferrable; especially if you love sandwiching. You bunch up gems and then you put up your detonator to lob garbage over to the enemy's side. You can even get a chain going that does additional damage. If it wasn't for a very glaring oversight that I'll get into later, this game would actually be a ton of fun.
Moving on, character art is pretty cute, I like the chibi look they gave to the fighters. The inclusion of guest characters like Morrigan and Hsien-ko is also much appreciated, if just for variety.
Finally, the audio is actually pretty damn good for the GBA. I make fun of the GBA soundchip a lot, but I really like this game's audio. The voice lines are great, and the music even sounds pretty good, take a listen.
So, hey, sounds like it's a good game. And it is!
...If you're not colorblind, that is.

Colorblindness Rating: F
It is impossible to tell apart the green and yellow blocks. Quite literally impossible. Fundamentally being unable to play the game is what made me rate this game so low.
It's such a shame, because you would have had a great game otherwise.
