It's a real shame that I need to drop this game before I finish it, since I was having a great time with it. The problem is it keeps freeezing during the finisher for the Elise boss fight and I have to unplug the system to even turn it off. I don't know if it's an issue with the disc I got or if my Wii U is finally dying after 10 years, but since it's at around the same point every time my guess is there's some kind of damage to the disc. One of these days I may pick up a second copy and play through the last bit, but I might just leave it here since I've played enough to get a decent feel for the game. I know the story gets much more interesting after where I am, but I think I've seen enough to understand that it's a game simultaneously condemning the hyperviolence of the era and reveling in it. There's a quote from the stage before I had to drop the game that's something along the lines of "I don't know if it's really cool, or really perverse" and I think that sums up the overall idea of the game wonderfully. Again I could be completely wrong since I can't finish the game and that's why I'm not scoring it, but I thought I should at least write about what I've played of it.
