A little more dull than the first volume in terms of plot, but that's mostly because this volume is mostly about the Noisy Fairy Squadron upgrading their mobile suits from barely functional Zakus to custom monstrosities. There's the Efreet Jaeger that's geared up for hit and run sniping, the Dom Gnomides that has a 30cm cannon slapped onto it, making it a mobile artillery platform, and the lightning fast, dual beam saber wielding Titania. Each one is a blast to play and they all feel as different from each other as they should. I also like how the plot is influenced by the events of the original series, but not directly related. Volume 2 took place almost entirely in the month after Zeon's loss at Odessa, and a lot of the missions were dealing with the fallout from the Zeon defeat in Europe while trying to hold on to North America. Missions had objectives like hitting Federation supply lines, providing cover for Zeon forces retreating to the safety of California, or taking out powerful battleships before they could meet up with the bulk of the Federation forces. Like most of the OYW stuff that's been made after the original series, it's not about replacing or reenacting the events of the show, but instead it's focused on expanding the scope of the conflict to show just how devastating it was.
