Really enjoyed this overall and if it were just a bit tighter on a technical level it could've been an all-timer.

The standout feature here is the boss visual design, a lot of creative concepts very well executed. The big nasty attack animations are all fun and take a lot of the sting out of getting owned by them. That same charm doesn't quite extend to the rest of the enemies (who are mostly the same crab with different weapons and movesets) but it kept me eager to see which boss I'd be fighting next.

But having played this so recently after Bloodborne made me really appreciate how important precise movement is to this kind of game. Between the wonky camera and hitboxes a lot of people are going to come away from this pretty frustrated and feeling like it's a lot harder than it actually is.

That said, I think most people who end up sticking with this and getting a feel for how combat flows won't be disappointed.
