This is the biggest Yakuza game yet. Just like Yakuza 4, there’s as many playable characters as there are equal to the entry number of the game. Each character’s story is incredibly distinct from each other in what their minigame is about, granted some will feel tedious if you aren’t hooked by the mini game the character entails. Story-wise it's just as good as Yakuza 4 in having multiple plot threads converge into a single conspiracy, granted the ending and twist villain in this game honestly ruins a lot of the payoff the narrative would otherwise bring. Essentially, both this game’s strengths and weaknesses are heavily based around how big this game is. The scale of the story being that huge is what made it so the payoff of the twist could never be worth it. Some modes will just be boring because they try to include so many things into the game. But I respect it. I’d write more about this game but I'm just burnt out on Yakuza at this point, 8/10.
